




South Lakes Search & Rescue have Issued Training Competencies & Personal Development Log Book to each SWRT volunteer
SLSAR has commenced the issue of a Training Competencies & Personal Development logbook to each volunteer. This logbook is a training record. Its purpose is to record that each member has successfully received and completed the necessary training competencies required to become an operational member of SLSAR. The logbook contains a series of competencies such as Swiftwater rescue, lowland search, medical, Stretcher Skills, Navigation & Communications required to be completed to qualify as an operational member.
South Lakes Search & Rescue to issue new Identity Cards to Operational volunteers.
SLSAR have decided that in order to enhance security all Operational volunteers will be issued with a new credit card type identity card. These new cards which will be issued annually will contain a photograph of the volunteer, blood group, date of birth, expiry date and details of skills/qualifications held.
